I've only just moved property, does this stop me from obtaining finance?

Although you have recently moved, your property may still have appreciated in value and contain the equity required to release funds. Please call us to find out whether this is the case or alternatively look at similar properties that are currently on the market. Even if there is no equity available, you can still qualify for a secured loan, providing you can meet the monthly repayments.

How much can I borrow?

The amount will depend on your income, even if you have difficulty proving this and what your property is valued at. Depending on these factors, Loans and Co can arrange a loan for you from a minimum of £5,000 to a maximum of £250,000.

Over what period of time can I spread my loan?

This is entirely up to you but most loan repayment periods are between 5 and 25 years, subject to a maximum age limit with some of our lenders. Again our knowledgeable underwriters can advise you on this.

I have missed payments on my credit card, does this mean I can't have a loan?

Even with missed payments, you can still qualify for a loan with us. As we have a panel of lenders we can cater for nearly all circumstances even if you are blacklisted with other people or have CCJ's or a bankruptcy. This is all because the funds are leant against your property, providing security for the lender in the event of default.

Can I use the money for any reason?

Yes, you can use the money for any purpose. You can buy a car, go on a luxury holiday, pay off credit cards and other loans or carry out some home improvements. The choice is yours.

Can I repay my agreement early?

All of our agreements can be paid early, some with penalty and some without. Our knowledgeable underwriters can provide this information with the quotation, as all lenders terms vary.

I own my house with my ex-partner, do they have to be involved in the application?

If the loan is secured against the property, then your ex-partner must sign and be party to the agreement. . What if I want to move house? Answer: You can pay the outstanding loan balance by requesting an early repayment figure from the lender. Alternatively, you may be able to use your new home to secure the loan, assuming sufficient equity is available.

Do I have to pay lots of fees in advance? What happens if the deal is rejected?

There are no upfront fees at all, even for Loans and Co arranging for a valuer to visit your property. Our policy at my loan.co.uk is that all our customers will only pay the fees relating to the deal (if there is one!) once they have received the product in full. This is unlike other financial institutions who will take your money regardless of whether they deliver their product.

What if I want to borrow more in the future?

Loans and Co will gladly supply you with a quotation for a further monies.
